Step by Step Instruction with Photos

  1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. 
  2. In a bowl sieve flour, baking powder, and salt, whisk well & set aside.
  3. In another bowl mix together brown sugar, butter, milk and vanilla essence.
  1. Pour butter mixture over flour mixture, and whisk gently to combine (don't overmix)
  2. Add lemon juice and fold very gently.
  1. Grease waffle maker with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Scoop the batter into waffle maker in batches and cook according to its directions until golden and crisp.
  1. Serve warm, with maple syrup and butter. You can serve with honey too.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 Tsp. Baking powder
  • ½ Tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar/sugar
  • ½ cup Butter at room temperature
  • 2 cup Warm milk
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla essence
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • Maple syrup & butter (for serving)

Note

Leftover batter can be stored in the fridge for a week, Just mix well before using again.
