Description

This tasty Leftover Khaman Dhokla Chaat is perfect for a snack-time treat or try preparing it for a gathering.

Ingredients
    Yogurt Mix
  • 3/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 Tsp. Sugar
  • Dry spice mix
  • 1 Tsp. Roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Red chili powder
  • 1 Tsp., Chaat masala
  • 1/4 Tsp. Black salt
  • Salt - to taste
  • For Khaman Dhokla Chaat
  • 12 pc khaman dhokla small pc
  • Tamarind chutney/Meethi chutney - as required
  • Green chutney - as required
  • 1/4 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Pomegranate arils
  • 2 Tbsp. Nylon sev
Instructions
    Yogurt & Chutneys
  1. In a bowl add yogurt, water and sugar. Mix it well to make pouring consistency yogurt mix. The yogurt mix should be thick but with a flowing consistency.

  3. Assembling the Chaat
  4. For dry spice mix, mix everything well and keep aside. 

  5. Chop onion, tomatoes and coriander and keep aside.

  6. You can use leftover dhokla or fresh dhokla to make this chaat.

  7. Arrange Dhoklas in a serving plate. Top it with yogurt mix, and sprinkle some dry spice mix.

  8. Next add meethi chutney and green chutney as per your taste.

  9. Add chopped onion, tomatoes and sprinkle some dry spice mix.

  10. Garnish the chaat with chopped coriander, pomegranate arils and nylon sev as required.

  11. Sprinkle dry spice mix if required.

  12. Serve the Dhokla Chaat immediately for the best flavor and texture. If you'd like to prepare it ahead of time, you can assemble the chaat, but be sure to add the garnish ingredients just before serving to maintain their freshness and crunch

Note
  • To make this recipe you can use homemade, store-bought or any leftover dhokla .
  • Yogurt mix should not be very runny…slightly thick but with a pourable consistency works best.
  • This chaat can be customized totally as per your taste buds. Add chutneys or salad or spice mix as per your liking.
  • Serve the Dhokla Chaat immediately for the best flavor and texture. If you'd like to prepare it ahead of time, you can assemble the chaat, but be sure to add the garnish ingredients just before serving to maintain their freshness and crunch
