  • ½ Tsp. Garam masala
  • 1 pinch Asafetida
  • 1 Tsp. Sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger paste/grated
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic paste/Grated
  • 2-3 Green chili (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • ¼ cup Yogurt/curd
  • For Theplas
  • Wheat flour (for rolling)
  • Oil (for making Theplas)
Instructions
    To make Dough
  1. Rinse fresh methi/fenugreek leaves very well in water and drain. Roughly chop and keep aside.

  2. Transfer the chopped leaves in a wide mixing bowl along with whole wheat flour.

  3. Next add in all dry spices: red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, asafetida, sesame seed, ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chilis and salt to taste.

  10. Now at this point put the griddle on medium heat.

  11. On the dusted board roll each ball into 6-8 inch in diameter and place on the hot griddle/tawa.

  12. Flip the Thepla once one side is partly cooked and drizzle some oil on this side

  13. Flip the Thepla again and now drizzle some oil on this side too.

  14. Press the Theplas lightly with spatula while cooking and cook evenly till you get golden brown spot in both side.

  15. Serve it hot with plain yogurt or mango pickle. Yum and healthy !! what else do you need?! 😊
